We hit the show at the perfect time.  One rain free hour!  A fun morning of emergency vehicles (fire trucks, police cars & ambulances), farming equipment (combine & tractors) & worker trucks (dump truck, tow trucks & milk truck).  Eric loved being behind the wheel in every truck, honking the horn & checking the lights.  Jeremy loved the back of the police car; we’re hoping that changes quickly.

Here they are (Daddy included) driving the milk truck!  Thanks so much to “Angie’s Dad” for bringing his truck there & letting the boys (and all the other kids) hop on in!

Eric and Sarah have very different personalities…but they are good friends.   I find it interesting to see how kids react and play with children who aren’t siblings!

Sarah found this worm.  She came to me asking why the octopus was not moving…(I’m not sure who taught her animal & insect names, but I’m confident that it’s a worm!)  Either way, they were both really interested in it!

WOW…I can’t believe that we are getting close to the end of this renovation.  The TO DO list: trim (whole main floor), tile backsplash & the hallway (flooring & closet doors)!

We are VERY happy with the kitchen.  I love my new work space, it’s very well organized, clean and gorgeous!  Kev loves that it is installed properly, with great mechanisms and it’s real wood!

I’m happy to say that the kitchen is almost complete!  Tuesday morning the installers will be coming to finish the cabinets!  It is all very exciting!

So, next week I promise a true recipe!  I was hoping for something dynamic today, but I haven’t been buying groceries so I would have fewer items to move & store while the cabinets were empty!  Tomorrow morning I’m heading out to fill a couple carts!  No Frills will probably send me a personalized ‘thank YOU’ when I’m done!  (just kidding, we don’t need that
much!)

This is just another kitchen ‘idea’!

You can use chicken breasts or the breaded ones shown in the picture.  Cook until about 10 mins remain.  Top with salsa and cheese.  This is DELISH!  Served well over rice, as a side to pasta or even on a bun with some lettuce!  Easy breezy & ingredients that are always on hand.  Salsa is a great way to get in some veggies & is very low fat so it’s even good for you!   Hope you try this out (if it’s not something you already enjoy!)

It must be spring!!

I just can’t get enough of the ruffled edges on these tulips!  You can see a tiny line of red along a couple of the petals.  They must be crossing with the other ones in my garden!

Look at this smokin’ hot mama!  Only 3 weeks to go and she’s looking great!  I can’t wait to take the maternity and newborn portraits for this fun family!  Thanks for meeting me this morning, S & J!!

As the kitchen is being installed and because the kids had been away from home for 2 nights we decided to have a fun day!  We headed out to Adventures on Wonderland and had a riot!
