a recipe for fun! 180/365
In : Uncategorized, Posted by dawn on Jun.06, 2009
Instead of Menu Monday today I had planned to share a picture from my session. Due to weather we had to postpone the session. As I was making supper I realized that I did not have my picture for today and I did not have a recipe idea or plan. So here is my ‘recipe’ for fun…
I let the kids finger (foot) paint outside…then I set up the pool for them to clean off in! They thought it was fun and it was super easy for me…they love to paint but I hate the thought of it all over the dining room!
Here is the mural they made together:

Our new hired hands (Griffin & Grace have agreed to work at our place next summer, Calvin is still undecided!) came to check out their new work place!
Instantly they fell in love with the pups! 3 out of 6 are already sold (they will be leaving the farm in 2 weeks) If you are looking for a pup, there are still 3 available! We’re going to miss them when they are gone!

I am so excited about these products! This is the fun part…hanging prints on your walls! There are so many options that stretch beyond a gorgeous frame!
In the near future I’m hoping to have some samples of foam core & styrene. These are really cool products that allow you to place the print directly on the wall or leaning against an object for example a fireplace mantel. There are several different ways you can do this, here is one example:
Foam Core Board
A stretched canvas is another option. Here is a link to a post with more information on these beauties.
Canvas
Also, you can have your print plaque mounted. This is a story board I had made as a “thank you” for Kevin’s Turkey Balloon Ride!
Beyond the beauty of each of these options , they cost considerably less than custom framing. So as a photographer I am able to design and build unique and interesting crops and sizes with out the need for custom framing!

Fathers Day and my FAVORITE sister’s birthday! We had a yummy fish fry at my mom and dads…deep fried french fries, salad and ice cream cake…a tradition that my Opa (grandpa) started!
Here is a picture of Opa & my sister from the early eighties.
I can remember as a little girl all of our uncles being so excited for the ‘fish fry’. It’s always perch and Grandpa/Opa always pays! It seemed fitting to carry on this tradition as this was our first Fathers Day with out my Opa. This month was also my Oma’s birthday and their anniversary, all firsts with out them in our lives.
This is tradition, but what is their legacy? They have taught us to love God, appreciate our family and to help those in need. Its for the gift of a great legacy that we want to thank them!
