the sandbox…170/365

In : Uncategorized, Posted by on Jun.06, 2009

A conversation between Eric and I a couple days ago as we were leaving the farm.

ERIC: “when are we moving, mom”

ME: “when it’s winter time, when the snow falls again”

ERIC: “so I can dig with my shovel in the snow at the farm”
ME: “YES”

ERIC: “but, my kid shovel is NOT at the farm”

ME: (trying to explain what moving means) “well, we’ll take that with us, and your other toys as well as your bed and our dishes” …

ERIC: “how about my sandbox”

ME: “ummmm….well…..no….I guess your sandbox isn’t going to move…”

after a moment of thinking “We can just tell dad to build a new one!”

ERIC: “do you think I can help him build it”

phew…I thought I was in trouble there!….

REALLY, is he sleeping with his feet against the wall?

Eric woke up when the flash fired…he said “what ARE you doing???”…then he covered his face with his cozy blanket and went back to sleep again!

Kinder Kids Graduation! 166/365

In : Uncategorized, Posted by on Jun.06, 2009

Gerda prepared a cute little graduation presentation for the kids.  They sang us a song “Mr. Sun, Sun Mr. Golden Sun” which was fitting because it was a bright sun shining day!  Perfect for our first morning at the splash pad!

Kinder Kids is such a cute little program.  It is a great way to get kids ready for that next step!  Thank you Gerda for all your hard work with the kids!  Eric really enjoyed Monday mornings!

Whats the story? 161/365

In : Uncategorized, Posted by on Jun.06, 2009

Each picture tells a story.

What story does this tell you??

What you can’t see in this picture is Coach Jeremy telling Eric that he needs to be kicking the ball the OTHER way…he’s about to score on his own net!  It’s hard to burst his bubble because he’s soooo proud that he actually has the ball for a few moments!
