With a backpack full, Eric’s ready for school!  We’re so excited about this year!  It is sure to be one full of learning!

I hope all the kids had a great back to school first day!!!

I still can’t believe that her mom let her get so dirty at our place!  We used the little pool to clean the kids up!  They were so dirty all day long…adding ice cream put it over the top!

When we discussed locations I had mentioned bringing bug spray…I sprayed before I left, drove 20mins…entered the woods and was ATTACKED…

Despite the bugs we had a fun session together!  I photographed these cute kids this past spring, and I could not believe how much more they ‘worked’ the camera this time!

I attended my first ‘photography’ seminar!  What a great evening.  We (2 local photographers) traveled to Vaughan to see Sandy Puc present the Bellies and Babies seminar.   We learned some marketing skills, posing & positioning and some new exciting ideas!  I’m looking forward to working with some newborn babies and pregnant mama’s to work with this information, to continue to grow and learn!

My picture for today is totally unrelated…this is on the vine that grows on Al’s side of the fence…I found this ‘thing’ quite interesting…I came across it while cutting the grass one day!

Let’s talk muffins…

Everyone has muffin recipes, but they don’t always turn out like they ought too…I’m sharing with you a blurb from my Betty Crocker Cookbook!  It may help you ‘diagnose’ your problem!!

The Best Muffins are…

Golden brown

Slightly rounded with bumpy tops

Tender and light

Even-textured with medium, round holes

Moist inside

Easy to remove from pan

What happened:

Pale muffins: oven was too cool

Peaked and smooth tops: too much mixing

Tough and heavy: too much flour or too much mixing

Uneven texture with long holes or tunnels: too much mixing

Dry: too much flour, oven too hot or baked too long

Stick to pan: pan not properly greased

Dark crust but center not done: oven too hot

Hopefully this helps you find some muffin recipes you love!
