Love this print! 302/365

In : Uncategorized, Posted by on Oct.10, 2009

A client has a frame they wanted to reuse…its one with out glass so we decided to go with a laminated, mounted print.  It’s a 16×20 (a great size for the wall).  I love the sheen and depth to this print it was a good choice!!

I’ll be ordering a sample of this for sure…hopefully with my next print order…

kid free thursday…201/365

In : Uncategorized, Posted by on Oct.10, 2009

Thursday has become my work from home day…I do the books for the farm, editing, billing & ordering for A Shot Of Life and catch up on my church book work..basically I sit behind the computer for a FULL day (without distraction!)

Eric is in school for a full day (which he LOVES) and Jeremy goes to a local in home day care.

Linda has been doing daycare for a long time..she spends lot’s of time with the kids outside and doing crafts which I love!  But the best part is, everyday we get a note home.  The note tells us what they did, what was for lunch and how long he napped.  I love reading it, esp since Jer doesn’t talk well it’s nice to know how he spent the day!

THREE HUNDRED (minus one) 300/365

In : Uncategorized, Posted by on Oct.10, 2009

I can’t believe it is day 300!  For three hundred days straight (except one) I’ve been taking a picture each day!

People keep asking me what’s in store for next year…thinking I might double up to make it a 730 project!  Well, I’m sad to say that I won’t be doing that…I do plan to keep up a blog on my site with information about my business and even some random things about my personal life.  I haven’t decided yet, but I do think I’ll commit to one post per week!  If clients are willing to have their pictures on my blog that will be how I show them a sneak peak of their session; so I will include more than one picture each time…any maybe I’ll share a recipe here and there…maybe not, we’ll see!

Here is today’s picture…it has a deep abstract meaning….I’m not going to explain it to you..if you want to take some guesses as to what you think it might be I’d love to hear them!!

Candy usually works well as bribery…but this was unbelievable!  At one point one of the boys says to the other “just do what she says, she’s the one with the candy!”  {perfect}

Aren’t these kids adorable?

Thanks for a great session ‘T’, ‘V’ & family!  Your gallery will be ready shortly!

Menu Thursday! 294/365

In : Uncategorized, Posted by on Oct.10, 2009

Ok, this isn’t a recipe…but it’s a nice combination so I’ll explain what I did…if you need more ‘instruction’ let me know!

I’m all about easy, healthy meals that don’t require all kinds of ingredients & the kids still eat (most important!)….

This rice is the BEST…it’s Uncle Ben’s Converted (it’s a clear and orange bag)…I love it…has a wonderful texture…it’s as easy to cook as minute rice but 90x better!  I prepared this according to the package directions and added one chicken bouillon cube.

I steamed one head of broccoli.

As the rice and broccoli were cooking, I had chicken in the oven.  I breaded chicken breasts in half bread crumbs with Italian seasoning and the other half Parmesan cheese.

Then I layered everything on a plate…sprinkled with seasoning salt and grated cheese!

Everyone loved it & I hope you do to!

You may be wondering why I’m doing a recipe on Thursday … I have a session on Monday so I won’t be cooking or baking … and I like to use session picture for my blog!

family session…293/365

The last family portrait this family had taken was 10 years ago!  “B” was 5!

That is WAY too long!!!

We had fun down by the river…even though “B” and the weather weren’t 100%!

Thank you for choosing me to take your picture after so many years!  It was fun!
