Sorry my recipe is so late this week!!!

I must give credit to Lisa for this recipe (and many in my box)!

Cheesy Soup!

2 cups chicken broth

16 oz frozen brocoli or cauliflower or mixture

1 celery stalk

1 carrot (or several baby carrots)

1 onion

1/2 tsp thyme

———-

1 cup milk

1 1/2 cups cheese

Combine all ingredients in slow cooker; excpet milk & cheese. Cook for 4-6 hours.  Remove, place in food processor to process into a smooth consistancy.  Pour into a stove top pan.  Boil, then add milk & cheese.

Perfect for a cool fall day!

Eric went to the ER earlier this week with croup…he’s much better…but has some weak moments!  I think the infection is letting loose and he has head cold like symptoms!  After his bath he couldn’t get warm so he laid cozy in his blanket and watched a movie!

We are sad to be leaving our house behind…we’re a bit attached to it!  The first big purchase we made together, the first house we moved into as a married couple & the only home our kids know…

On the other hand we sold it before it was actually for sale!  The buyers met our closing date and we’re happy with the price!  We are more than thrilled to be moving to the farm and we can’t wait to get there!  The driving we do now is too much…the gas stations are loving us!

We sold at the perfect time…both neighbors are working at connecting to the sewer system so there is going to be a mess on our street (which would not have made a ‘good’ selling environment)…you can notice the pile of dirt on our front yard already!

The house was sold private, but Tammy & Alison worked on behalf of the buyers…they asked if they could put a ‘sold’ sign up…& Kev said yes!

I’m telling you…Eric never pulled stunts like this!  Jer’s always sneaking out of bed…I turned around while working on the computer and this is what I see…Double J’s sneaking around the furniture…

‘B’ was right into this session!  He had so many pose idea’s for me and made me stop in my tracks when he asked if I had a fish eye lens so we could make funny faces!  LOL  I think I just found a future photographer!

Our first day as Dairy Farmers!  I can’t believe we made it!  It happened…documents are signed…the loan is in place!  Let the fun begin!!

Hopefully things work out as my Dad assumes they will…Kev working 2hrs/day (milking morning 1hr, milking night 1hr)…but I doubt it…the next months, especially until we move will be busy, but exciting!

I don’t think it’s actually sunk in yet!

I’m so thrilled that Kevin’s life long dream has come true!
