Streutker Christmas! 352/365

In : Uncategorized, Posted by on Dec.12, 2009

First of many family Christmas parties…

I can’t say we have too many ‘traditions’…we used to play some light games (before 10 grandchildren entered the scene)…

We have turkey and ALL the side dishes required (sans cranberry sauce)…and a big dessert (often trifle, this year Ice Cream Cake)…Each family brings something (we brought the veggie tray and salads) and take turns hosting…

After lunch we open gifts (a bit chaotic) We’ve done lots of different gift giving strategys … we have a single person and some families with children so it’s hard to know what to do…This year we drew names for ‘family’ gifts and set a limit…which I thought worked VERY well…although last year was nice when we unexpectedly received (from Kev’s sister) a Wii after we thought all the gifts were done!!

The boys had so much fun with an extra (cute) little girl in the house!  Jeremy couldn’t stop touching her…hugs, kisses…but I didn’t expect this:

Christmas Concert! 349/365

In : Uncategorized, Posted by on Dec.12, 2009

How exciting!  The first Christmas Concert we get to go to!  I think we (Kevin & I) were more excited than Eric!  It’s so cute watching these little JK kids with their friends playing, chatting…causing trouble!

He did give the Aylmer Grandpa a big “THUMBS UP” during the performance…and he called out for me {yeah} to show bells that they were ringing!

A great night, a great school!  We are so very glad for the choice we made!

I missed my 2nd picture of the year!

How disappointing!

With not long to go…just over 2 weeks…I’m not sure how this happened…

Gingerbread Men! 346/365

In : Uncategorized, Posted by on Dec.12, 2009

The kids made Gingerbread men and a house with their cousins at the party…they loved doing it!
Slowly they are eating the men…first pick off the good candy, then pick off the rest of the candy…then eat the actual cookie!

It’s fun, year after year!

Birthday Party #2! 345/365

In : Uncategorized, Posted by on Dec.12, 2009

Eric was SO excited to go swimming for the Streutker December Birthday Parties!

Two thumbs UP, right?!

When we arrived at the pool, heartbreak set in!  It was closed for a swim meet…poor kids…they were so disappointed!

Reflections! 343/365

Love these in home Christmas sessions I’ve been working on!

This reflection is so cute:

Too bad mom was up at 5:30Am to set up the tree and wrap some gifts to prepare for my arrival!

Thank you so much for inviting me back time and again!  I enjoy your smiling girls (even if we have to have dad around to get the real giggles out!)
