Eric has VERY sensative skin…I’m not sure what these are from…but it’s itchy and ugly…poor guy…this is day 2!  Any ideas?  Please share…


I’m keeping a watchful eye.  It reminds me of when his thumb had an infection (aug 2007).  This was so gross…I can remember the day he woke up with this, like it was yesterday.

    Yikes! How did his thumb get so swollen? Was it from a bite?

    I’d say the bites look like mosquito bites…seems a bit early but I’m pretty sure I saw some on the weekend. Has he been playing in the sandbox? There might be something in there that’s biting…

    Man that thumb was nasty, eh? Good thing your sister told you to just let it be, lol!

    These new ones look less blistery than that one did. Hope it clears up soon.

    The swollen thumb (picture #2) is Aug 2007…that’s old…just saying that it reminds me of that…at that time the dr’s said it was some kind of infection but never determined a cause…

    what did they do when his thumb looked like that? did they have to drain it?

    they tried antibiotics for a day or so, then it got worse…so we went back & they drained it-stayed on the meds and he was totally fine!

    I’m thinking mosquitoes and/or spider bites… both do that to me…

    hi dawn i think he has a allergy for fly’s/ mosquito’s , i remember rick had something like that and he had medicine for it.

    it took him after taking that, one day and than it was all gone
    dont remember the name of it but it was a medicine only for allergy’s.
    it looks real bad he must feel terrible.

    Cat Scratch Fever – Maybe he was scratched or pricked by a cat. Has he come in contact with a cat at the farm???? I plead the fifth.

    Tracy-yeah, he might have a cat friend at the farm….but I’m not so sure that’s what it’s from….

    Netta-I gave him an allergy med and it calmed down right away…I’m thinking its a reaction to some kind of bite…

    Karen-I’m pretty sure you’re right…maybe even an ant or something?

    Either way, we’re in for a long summer….

    Yeah, it’s scabbed over and healing up…he had an itchy one on his leg again today…but it wasn’t as bad!
