painting!

The kids LOVE it when I let them paint, but it doesnt’ happen very often…

Here’s why:

A sweet baby sister has arrived!! (click here to see the maternity post)

I was happy to receive the email and set up an appointment so quickly after the new baby arrived!   These pictures are 5 days after birth!!  Congrat’s to Mom for looking amazing!  The whole family appears to be doing VERY well!!!  Baby “E” was a wonderful girl for our entire session!

This was way too cute, “R” used the backdrop and basket to set up her own little session with her doll while Mom fed “E”!!!

After a short feeding baby “E” was asleep again!!!

Many of us are anxiously awaiting the phone call (or Facebook message) that Jess has had her baby!

Our plan is to add one last picture to this set of a VERY squishy newborn!

I’m am so happy that we were able to capture 40 weeks!  I think this board looks AWESOME and it will be added to my collection of prints.

Thank YOU Jess for looking awesome AND coordinating a time to meet up with me every 4 weeks!  It was a bit of a commitment but SO VERY worthwhile!!!!

As always, a picture!

Caught a dart flying through the air here…the boys are LOVING the new nerf guns…I find I’m ducking for cover ALOT!

Isn’t that ironic…I sat down to type this post…looked up at the time and its 11:11 (am) on Jan 1, 2011!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you!!!!

Last night as I listened to a great live band Movin’ Groovin & Verhoeven, playing Farkle with some great friends I really tried to think of some ‘resolutions’.

I didn’t come up with much…maybe between laughs and homemade poutine from the fry wagon I didn’t really concentrate either.

What do I have to ‘resolve’?  Not much!  Life is great..busy, but great.

As for A Shot of Life I do have some new ‘plans’ and goals.  Here they are….

1. Live ordering sessions

2. Open a business bank account (this should make all my banking relatives happy)

3. Document a birth

4. Slight pricing change (some prices are coming down! Believe it or not!)

5. I AM going to learn to ‘pan’ and use off camera flash!

Really, I should also lose a couple pounds and spend some more time with my boys that are growing up MUCH too quickly!

OK~that’s IT!  I have to be realistic!!!

A Photographers blog isn’t complete until pictures are added..so here are some of my boys throughout this past year!  I’m sure you have seen most of them before, but if you are like me they will bring another smile to your face!

I’m loving how this project is coming together!!

A dutch word for ‘beloved’…or better to known to me as ‘sweet’ ‘cute’ ‘adorable’!

It was great to dig out some of my (VERY LIMITED) dutch vocabulary at this session!!

This sweet girl is definitely “lief”!

And we stepped outside for a bit too! It was chilly, but TOTALLY worth it! I love the outdoor pictures!

As most of you know we have been ‘hammered’ with a snow storm around here!  All the white makes things soooo beautiful!

It is a bit ironic that it happened when I had 2 extra kids in the house for a full week!  School was canceled 3 days in a row!  I seriously can’t remember that EVER happening!

I’ve been trying to take some pictures of the beauty!  Here are a couple for you to enjoy!

I thought it was a bit crazy to book two sessions on a Saturday in December…I was pretty sure that was just asking for bad weather!
Although the day was cool, and the session shorter than the average, it was fun & gorgeous!

The snow on the steps of this shot really add to the look & feel of the cool winter air!  But the warm colours in the brick & door (and of course the good looking family) warm the picture right up!!

Everyone was watching Santa set up his shop behind me!!

This picture was ‘composed’ by the girls! It was their idea, and a mighty fine one!
