Giving is GOOD!

In : Uncategorized, Posted by on Dec.12, 2010

This is the session that was donated to the Rockway Auction! Rockway is the school that my nephew is now attending..so my Brother & Sister in law and myself made a donation of session fee plus print credit to the auction!!

This lucky family bid and was successful!! And I am so happy that we were able to fit their session in this year! I have to say that for the most part I’ve been overly blessed by the weather this past year! Several sessions into December that worked out wonderfully!!! I couldn’t have had a better year!!

The location of this session was just perfect! Thanks for meeting with me J & S! It was wonderful!!!

I love this picture for MANY reasons!!!

Indoors!

In : Uncategorized, Posted by on Dec.12, 2010

I LOVE LOVE LOVE working outside! But every now and again I have a craving for the indoors with some plain paper background!

My stand is small so that it is portable, I usually only use it for newborns…but it was a crummy day and I felt like taking pictures Jer in his new ‘oh so suiting’ sweater!

The kids damaged the paper while taking pictures so I ripped a huge section off and let them colour & draw!!

This special train passes by our house every year. It travels from Woodstock to London early evening…the last couple years the kids have seen it..but I have stayed in the warmth of the house to see it! :) This year I decided I wanted to take a couple pictures of it…I did some long exposures as it went past! Next year I will probably try panning…I wish it would go past about 4 times in one night so I could do all the photographing I’d like!! {good luck, eh?}

ANYWAY, it is a cute decorated train with Christmas lights and decorations. Santa is usually riding along in the back! And I’m pretty sure it makes several stops along the way for people to see it in slow motion!

Here is the train approaching!

The rain made us meet up inside…even though I had a vision of shots outdoors! :(   (Maybe I’ll get them in the spring!)

Anyway, we had a nice little session, Mom just wanted something for the Christmas Cards so we tried hard for a couple family pictures!!!

BUT~”T” wanted out of the family picture!!!

Love their pictures!  They wanted to include the kids skateboard & rip stick.  So we met up for family pictures and snapped a few of the kids too!

Please let me know when we meet up if there is something you’d like to see in your pictures!  I love including things that are meaningful to your family!!!!

Limited!

In : Uncategorized, Posted by on Oct.10, 2010

The weather has certainly been challenging my photography skills and creativity.  The fall has been very good to me (all of us photographers) but the rain needed to come at some point!

This family could not reschedule, 4 family members were visiting from Holland so the session had to go through!!!

I really appreciated that the rain let up for a little while, the family was super good sports and Grandma had a dry place we could go to!

This gorgeous entry way worked wonderfully!!!  I shot holding an umbrella, everyone else stayed dry in the overhang of the front porch!!

(so much better than the basement, don’t you agree!?)

Our project is progressing quite nicely!  Jess and her baby bump are looking wonderful!!

I don’t want to rush her pregnancy along…but I can’t wait to see this project complete!!!  It’ll definitely be a sample in my collection!

Parks and Family FUN!

In : Uncategorized, Posted by on Oct.10, 2010

I love meeting new clients at new parks!

It’s so awesome to see all the play equipment, walking paths and rivers that we get to enjoy…although we (I) NEVER take enough time to just ‘play’ and relax with my kids at places like these, it is something we do enjoy as a family!  Often when I’m out with clients I think ‘WOW, my boys would love it here’ … when I’m on walking paths I often think about the summer that my dad and I walked Springwater Park several times a week!

I love meeting clients at places that bring out these memories for them.  Be it at their home or farm, a park they frequent or places they remember from their childhood!

If pictures are worth 1000 words, what are your pictures saying about your family?

Show case your unique family, at a unique location for your next family portrait!
